RED PANDA WITH CUB
The mother Red Panda keeps her cub close to her on a branch in the treetops, and builds several nests so the two can stay close together until the cub grows old enough to leave the nest. The Mother's Day plate has been issued annually since 1969. In the following years, the artist Allan Therkelsen created the motif which is - as always - represented in the beautiful blue colours of the underglaze.
